1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the EzySchool platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of a school, institution, or organisation ("School"), you represent that you have the authority to bind that School to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of the Service including administrators, teachers, accountants, parents, and any other individuals granted access by a licensed School.
2. Description of Service
EzySchool provides a cloud-based school management platform that enables schools to manage student records, academic operations, attendance, gradebooks, finance, communications, and related workflows. The Service is offered on a subscription basis and accessed via dedicated school subdomains (e.g., yourschool.ezyschool.app).
Each school workspace is independently managed and isolated. EzySchool reserves the right to update, modify, or discontinue any aspect of the Service with reasonable prior notice.
3. User Accounts and Access
School administrators are responsible for creating and managing user accounts within their workspace. Each user must maintain the confidentiality of their login credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
EzySchool accounts may not be shared. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, you must notify EzySchool immediately at support@ezyschool.app. EzySchool shall not be liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised account access that occurs due to your failure to safeguard your credentials.
Schools are responsible for ensuring their users comply with these Terms. EzySchool may suspend or terminate access for any account found to be in violation.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
• Upload, transmit, or distribute any content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or infringes on the rights of others • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or related systems • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure • Harvest, scrape, or extract data from the platform without prior written consent • Use the Service to send unsolicited communications or spam • Impersonate another user, institution, or EzySchool personnel • Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law or regulation
EzySchool reserves the right to suspend or terminate access immediately for violations of this section.
5. Data and Content Ownership
Schools retain full ownership of all data, student records, and content they input into the platform ("School Data"). EzySchool does not claim ownership over School Data.
By using the Service, you grant EzySchool a limited, non-exclusive licence to process and store School Data solely for the purpose of providing the Service. EzySchool will not use School Data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose outside of service delivery.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that School Data is accurate and that you have the right to upload and process it within the Service, including compliance with applicable data protection laws governing student and staff information.
6. Subscription and Billing
Access to EzySchool is provided on a subscription basis. Pricing, billing cycles, and included features are outlined at ezyschool.app/pricing or in a written agreement with EzySchool.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Schools are responsible for keeping payment information current. Failure to pay may result in suspension of access. EzySchool will provide reasonable notice before suspension due to non-payment.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@ezyschool.app for billing disputes or refund requests within 30 days of the charge.
7. Intellectual Property
The EzySchool platform, including its software, design, logos, documentation, and trademarks, is the exclusive property of EzySchool and its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.
You may not reproduce, copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on any part of the Service without prior written permission from EzySchool.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information associated with your use of the Service. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described therein.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. EzySchool does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
Schools are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of critical data. While EzySchool implements data redundancy measures, it does not guarantee against data loss.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EzySchool shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if EzySchool has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
EzySchool's total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by the School for the Service in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate the subscription at any time by providing written notice. Upon termination, your access to the Service will be disabled. EzySchool will retain School Data for a period of 30 days following termination, after which it may be permanently deleted.
EzySchool may terminate access immediately without notice if a School is found to be in material breach of these Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration or the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the applicable jurisdiction.
13. Changes to These Terms
EzySchool reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify Schools of material changes by email or by displaying a prominent notice in the platform. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
